Thank You Letter To Captain Roger H.C. Donlon

Dear Captain Roger H.C. Donlon,

You have done a lot of sacrifices just by serving our country. We are so great full for all you have done for us, save someones life. When I went to my Washington D.C. field trip, I learned to respect and recognize the veterans, soldiers. I also learned about how they got the medal, why they got it. I wish that everyone should go and visit all the veterans in the retirement home. Also, that they should remember them not just the week that they got the medal of honor. All this was just to thank you for your service in this country. I promise that I would never forget about all the veterans and soldiers. Thank you for your service.

Sincerely,
Brigida Leon
Cadet Sargeant Leon

"We Cannot Walk Alone"

1.Quote:
"The marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the negro community must not lead us to a distrust of all white people, for many of our white brothers, as evidence by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied with our destiny and their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom. We cannot walk alone."

2.Why is this quote important to the audience?
This quote is important to the audience because it means that white people can't do nothing without black people. It also says that some white people have already realize that their destiny is tied up with theirs. Nobody could walk alone, without someones help. Even if they want to they want to they can't, they would always need someones help. That is why this quote is so important to the audience.

3.Why is this quote important to you?
This quote is important to me because it means that no one walks alone. That is the same here in America. Nobody could do anything without immigrants. Without them America has nothing. My group chose this quote because we knew right away what the quote meant. Also, this quote is connected with our life. Some citizens have just realized that their nothing without us. For example, my title "No one could walk alone" even if they want to they can't. That is why this quote is important to me.

Undocumented Immigrants Should Stay

One day in class my teacher Miss.Diaz asked us to do an essay. There was a total of two questions, we had to chose between both of them. The first question is that if undocumented immigrants should stay in America. The second question is should we stand up on racial comments. Both questions are really good, but for both you are going to need a lot of good details to support your ideas.

I chose the first question which is "Should undocumented immigrants stay in America?" If we were to take undocumented immigrants and send them back to were they came from then we will be braking families apart. How would it feel taking a mom or a dad from a family of 2 or more kids. Just imagine that it is you or a friend, would you let that happen. If it was me I would not like that at all, taking parents away from there kids. That is why some kids end up how they are because there parents aren't there with them.

If it wasn't for immigrants then we will have nothing. Yeah, you might want them to go back just because they take your job away. It should not even matter to you, because they probably got the job by the low paid. There probably are better then you or not. The boss might hire them because they want to pay less not a lot. Either way it doesn't matter either you get the job or not. You should not care about that or anything else.

My Family's American Dream

One day in class Miss. Diaz asked us to, ask our parents what there American dream is. So I went and asked my mom,my dad,and my two brothers. I took them a while until they got their answer of what their American value is. My parents told me in Spanish, so i had to translated it. So, it could be in English so everyone could understand it.

When I asked my mom what her American dream is she told me that like three things that is her dream. The first one is that she wants a good job. The second one is that she wants a good education for me and my brothers. The third one is that we all stay safe and not get into trouble.

When I asked my dad what his American dream is he told me two things. One is that he wants me and my brothers are able to finish high school. Second is that he could get a good job, not a bad one.

Then I asked my two brothers what their American dream is. They told me that they want to be able to graduate high school and college. Get a collage scholarship for football. Also, that the Farragut Football team gets to win the championship.

Immigration video

This video explains how that even though there are illegal or undocumented immigrants in this country we shouldn't just say that you don't belong here because they broke one law and are trying to live here so they can support their families and have better lives.we should give the opportunity to have citizenship and have the rights we do and treat them just like criminals. I mean in the end everyone should be allowed hospital care and workers rights.

My Values

I value my family and friends the most. I value my family the most because they are always there for you when you need them. There the ones you grew up with. They will be supporting you on whatever you do. You can't live without them, they might get you mad, but there your family it's how they are. That's why I value my family the most.
I value my friends the most. They will always be there when you need help. Whenever you are sad they will cheer you up. You could never stay mad at them, thats not really being friends. You could never have friends like them, even if you look.
What I don't value at all is politics. People here in America think that politics are so important, but there not. all you do is vote for the better president. They are all the same they will end up like all the other ones.
